The Catholic Guides and Cadets of America is a scouting movement that forms young people in the true faith, develops character, and teaches outdoor skills through a program rooted in Catholic tradition. Our mission is to help boys and girls grow in virtue, leadership, and service while embracing the spirit of adventure.

Our Four Age Groups

We have distinct programs tailored to different stages of development:  

Braves (Boys 8-12) – Learning the basics of scouting, teamwork, and responsibility through hands-on activities and outdoor adventures.  

Cadets (Boys 12-17) – Developing leadership, resilience, and deeper scouting skills, with an emphasis on service and personal growth.  

Kateries (Girls 8-12) – Encouraging joy, resourcefulness, and friendship through exploration, learning, and practical skills.  

Guides (Girls 12-17) – Strengthening confidence, leadership, and service in an environment that fosters faith and a familial atmosphere.

What We Do

Outdoor Adventure – Camping, hiking, orienteering, and survival skills to build confidence and resilience.  

Faith Formation – Rooted in Catholic values, our program integrates prayer, sacraments, and spiritual formation into scouting as a defining element.

Service & Leadership – Young people learn responsibility and selfless leadership through service and mentorship.  

Skills & Achievement – A structured system of progression and badges allows young people to develop practical and character-building skills.
